The Draw from Map method is the most common starting point for new users. You find your property on the map and trace the boundary of your tract — and the platform handles well matching and valuation from there.

Finding Your Property

Click Create a Tract and select Draw from Map. This opens the map. Turn on the Landgrid layer to see county parcel boundaries, then search for your county and zoom in to your area.

When you find your parcel, you have two options. If the parcel boundary matches your mineral interest, click directly on the parcel and the platform will trace the boundary automatically. If your mineral interest is a custom shape — a fraction of a parcel or a boundary that does not follow parcel lines — use the draw tool to trace it manually.

Take your time here. The boundary you draw is the foundation for everything the platform calculates: your acreage, your well assignments, and your valuation.

Review and Confirm

After drawing, the platform shows you the tract it generated. Check that the boundary looks right and that the acreage is reasonable. You will also see the wells the platform matched to your tract based on where your boundary falls — review these to make sure they look correct.

If this is not your first tract, the platform will check for any overlaps with your existing properties. Resolve any flagged overlaps before continuing.
