Alerts and Well Activity

What You’ll Need

Your tract is set up in the platform. Notifications can be configured from your account settings.

The platform monitors your properties continuously and alerts you when things change — so you do not have to manually track state regulatory websites or wonder what is happening on your acreage.

What the Platform Monitors

The platform tracks several categories of activity across your properties.

Well activity: new permits filed on your acreage, wells spudded, wells completed, and wells coming onto production. These are the events that most directly signal future development and affect your value.

Production and revenue changes: significant shifts in a well's production rate or your estimated monthly revenue.

Value changes: meaningful movements in your Pecan Estimate, typically triggered by production data updates, new permits, or commodity price shifts.

Setting Up Your Alerts

Navigate to your account settings and open the notifications section. Turn on alerts for the activity types that matter most to you.

For most mineral owners, well activity alerts are the highest-value option — especially new permits and completions on your acreage. Knowing when a permit is filed near your minerals puts you ahead of where most mineral owners are when activity starts to develop.

If you are actively monitoring your portfolio for a potential sale, value change alerts are also worth enabling. An uptick in your Pecan Estimate because new permits were filed nearby is exactly the kind of signal you want to catch early.

If you prefer less frequent updates, a periodic digest summarizes everything that changed across your portfolio during that period rather than sending individual alerts as events occur.

Viewing Recent Activity

Beyond alerts, you can always see a summary of recent well activity on your dashboard or on any individual tract page. This feed shows what has happened across your properties — permits, spuds, completions, and production updates — in reverse chronological order.

This is useful if you want to catch up after time away, or if you want to review the activity history on a specific tract before a conversation with a buyer or advisor.
